Extra Butter and Diadora will connect to release the S8000 ‘Giallo 2.0.’ A follow-up to the 2016 release, the pair pays tribute to a niche film genre of Italian horror from the 1970s – Giallo.
“The term Giallo literally translates to Yellow, which was originally a literary reference to Yellow colored paperbacks of Italian mystery novels in the 1930s that focused on themes that influenced a movement for Italian filmmakers decades later,” says Extra Butter Creative Director, Bernie Gross.
The Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 ‘Giallo 2.0’ is made in Italy with attention to high craftsmanship. The shoes feature a striking, multi-color palette on premium-quality pig suede and leather material. The tongue and footbed are embellished with ornate geometric accents, which hardcore horror fans will recognize as deep cut Giallo film references. The shoes will also come with special packaging, and will also include a hangtag.
You can expect the Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 ‘Giallo 2.0’ and matching apparel to release on January 27th at 11 AM EST in-store at Extra Butter and online at extrabutterny.com on January 28th at 9 AM EST.
