If you’re a fan of Reebok especially the Ventilator, you know they are celebrating 25 years since the original release. While we have seen a few pairs celebrating the special occasion, it’s now time for Reebok to call in reinforcements. The first collaboration up on the Ventilator will be with Extra Butter and they offer us a little bit of street meat.
Keeping the inspiration close to home, Extra Butter used the popular food carts that strolled the New York streets during the 1990s serving up halal. Using euphoria nubuck, you can actually make drawings with your fingers that embed for a few seconds so you know it’s soft. The uppers are inspired by what is served with Halal, lamb, chicken, and falafel. Furthermore the speckled midsole comes from blong yellow rice, outsole is under cooked chicken, green lands on the arch support foot bridge representing lettuce and two sets of laces in red and white for the side sauce.
The Extra Butter x Reebok Ventilator Street Meat will launch at the following Extra Butter locations: February 6th at Lower East Side (125 Orchard Street) at 7:00 PM. February 7th at Rockville Centre – RVC (266 Merrick Road) at 10:00 AM and Extrabutterny.com at 12:00 PM. Retail is $145.
