Familia skate shop based out of Minneapolis connects with Nike Skateboarding again to release a new SB Dunk Low collaboration that pays tribute to the city’s live music venue.
This Nike SB Dunk Low features detailing that pays tribute to the venue, located at 701 First Avenue North. One of the standout elements is the brickwork on the quarter overlays in Black; the building is covered in Black bricks. Next, perforated stars land on the toe box representing the 500 stars that have performed at the venue that you can see throughout.
The theme continues with 3M reflective on the Swoosh and heel. The upper features wear-away materials that fade to Purple, which also covers the laces. The Purple detailing is a nod to Prince, who performed at First Avenue and was born in Minneapolis. Other highlights include co-branding on the insoles with the venue’s checkerboard floor and the ticket to the first live show, which took place on April 3rd, 1970.
