For those of you that don’t remember or missed the news, Maya Moore holds the distinct honor of being the first woman basketball player to be signed to Jordan Brand, which happened in 2011. We’ve seen a few PE’s created for her, most recently the “Yellow Camo” Jordan XX8, first seen during the 2013 All-Star Weekend. Well, today we bring you a look at a pack of PE’s the good folks at Jordan Brand have sent Maya, and boy, oh boy is there a gem in there…
The group of Minnesota-inspired kicks (she plays for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, which sports colors that match their brother in the NBA, the Timberwolves) features 6 Jordan Aero Mania’s (3 home colorways and 3 away), but the real killer in the bunch is an exclusive pair of Air Jordan XXIII (23)’s in a colorway Derrick Williams, a known Jordan/sneaker head, must be drooling over. Let’s hope she doesn’t wear the same size shoe as him, because that pair may wind up missing from the Lynx locker-room…
Featuring a white/blue/grey upper with gold accents on the lace loops and MJ-signature on the toecap, these have a look that would be perfect with Moore’s Lynx jerseys, let alone for anyone else on a hot summer day. Teal can be found in the lining and the outsole, famously inspired by MJ’s own fingertip. The blue midsole and white laces wraps things up on this amazing PE.
What do you think of this group of J’s given to Minnesota’s star player, one who will surely go down as one of the greatest female players of all time? Would you like to see this colorway release one day? Too manly to even consider wearing something that a chick wore? Let us know in the comments below, and enjoy some more pics of this exclusive pack!
