Throughout 2013, the 30th anniversary of the iconic Reebok Classic Leather, we’ve seen many dope versions of the shoe, from collaborations with sneaker houses across the world to dope creations cooked up by Reebok’s in-house design teams. For one of their upcoming releases, Reebok has gone in a different direction, teaming up with revered NY-based artist Stash, as well as several other talented graffiti artists from around the world, to come up with the Reebok Classic Leather “City Series”.
Featuring individual interpretations of the Classic Leather by a slew of dope artists, expect this pack to be a wild group of kicks, melding the world of street art with one of Reebok’s most loved sneakers in its large arsenal of kicks. We bring you a look at three of the kicks featured in the pack; the suede and leather offering from Stash, repping the NYC, features his signature bright blue, last seen on the Stash x Reebok Ventilator we teased back in November, with his calling card signature stitched on the heel; Los Angeles artist EKLIPS’ pair features a paint-splattered black and multi-color upper that Jackson Pollock would be proud of; Mad, an artist from the City of Brotherly Love, goes in a totally different direction, with a white leather upper that features colorful shapes and designs sporadically throughout the shoe. All three sit atop split-colored midsoles with solid-colored outsoles.
For those of you looking to get your hands on one of these pairs, be on the lookout for a July 1st release at select Reebok retailers. Definitely keep it locked with Sneaker Files for more info on these as the release date nears, and hit the jump for a brief look at the aforementioned pairs.
