In the sneaker and streetwear community, Fragment Design holds weight. Founded by Hiroshi Fujiwara, he and his brand have a long list of collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand. The most sought-after pair is his Air Jordan 1 collaborations. However, the last time Fragment Design connected with the brand was on the Dunk Low, a three-way collaboration with CLOT. Fujiwara will use Nike’s 1997 classic Zoom Spiridon for Fragment’s next project.
At a point, the Zoom Spiridon was released heavily in different colorways. That was short-lived, and Nike put the shoes back in the vault. However, Nike looks to bring this silhouette back in 2024. A few models will be inspired by the Zoom Spiridon, for example, Travis Scott’s Jordan Cut The Check.
This Nike Zoom Spiridon comes dressed in mostly Blue and White. Using Navy on the upper while constructed with synthetic mesh and suede on the mudguard. White fills in the leather Swoosh logo and runs across the midsole. Grey detailing runs down the tongues, and accents the lace loops, and the rubber outsole. Minimal Fragment branding is used, which can be seen on the heels.
