Virtual band and English music group, Gorillaz are gearing up for the release of their 10th anniversary retrospective album, “Singles Collection: 2001-2011″, set to release on November 28th, 2011, and to commemorate their achievements the group has teamed up with Converse to create the Gorillaz x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.
Designed by the group’s co-creator and illustrator Jamie Hewlett, a collection of four original designs will become available including a military camouflage All Star that takes inspiration from their self-titled debut album cover. Each shoe from the collection will also come with a Gorillaz altered heel tab and custom hangtag.
And just when you thought that was it, the Gorillaz also apart of Converse’s “Three Artists. One Song” music campaign, will host a Gorillaz Sound System event at the legendary 100 Club in London, England which will welcome fans to “a unique audio-visual experience, featuring music, live percussion and special projections” including 2D visuals of the group.
