This Spring Hanon has connected with Puma to release a lux edition of the Dallas court shoe, a back catalog style first introduced in the eighties.
For this collaboration, we have specced the Dallas up with a premium application. The uppers are loosely inspired by old school athletic apparel and footwear as well as general color trends of the eighties. References are drawn from vintage sports-wear and from the Argyle patterns of Scottish knitwear such as golfing sweaters, scarves and socks.
Each Dallas style features a lux tonal suede upper with premium nubuck overlays. The collar lining and in-sock are finished with a bespoke argyle fabric whilst the footbed is finished with a bound trim.
Additional references that nod to old school kicks appear in the form of cotton laces and a sun perfed toe box.
Rounding the shoe off is dual branded detail via the archive OG ‘Macht’s mit Quali-tat’ (Do It With Quality) tongue label, a rubber hang tag and a woven hanon Keeps On Burning patch on the footbed.
There are four Dallas colorways in this release. Each pair will come complete with a woven Argyle scarf mirroring the color palette of the upper.
And finally. Both the Dallas barley and burgundy colorways are exclusive to hanon-shop and released to a strict edition of 100 and 50 pairs respectively. Completing the pack with a Scottish vibe, each pair will come in a hand numbered wooden whiskey styled box.
Released April 2011.
