The Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 ’86 collaboration will arrive at select Nike Sportswear retailers in Fall 2024, which is sure to have a unique twist.
Reintroduced in 2023, we saw the Air Max 1 ’86 release at retailers. Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield, this iteration of the AM1 featured a larger bubble known as the “Big Bubble.” Upon its initial debut in 1986, just a year before the traditional Air Max 1 was released, the Big Bubble rendition saw a limited production run. Rumor has it this was due to the large Air unit that didn’t hold up well, so Nike opted for a smaller one. Fast-forward to the present year, we have seen multiple colorways debut. However, in 2024, Jacquemus will put its creative touch on the model and will debut in Fall 2024.
Initially reported by Bubble Koppe on Instagram, we can also confirm that Jacquemus will release the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 in Fall 2024.
Jacquemus has worked with Nike to release unique iterations of the Air Humara and J Force 1 Low, a spin on the Air Force 1. This time around, they will give their own creative spin to the Nike Air Max 1. Currently, images or specific details have yet to be announced on their Air Max 1. However, we can expect new colors as well as a theme never used before on the AM1. The shoes will also come with co-branding throughout, special packaging, and an extra set of laces.
