John Mayer has his own collaboration coming, well sort of. While not your traditional collaboration, this John Mayer Nike Air Max 90 is actually a NikeID. Known as ‘Spirit Level’, the model will release later this month.
You would think someone of his caliber could easily reach out to Nike and get a collaboration, but taking things into his own hands, he went on NikeID and created this Nike Air Max 90 and purchased every pair. He actually plans on selling all the pairs to his fans on his own. Recently he sat down with GQ and said, “I’m just waiting for it to get discontinued on their site. And I’m gonna offer it as my own shoe through my Shopify page.”
The Nike Air Max 90 Air Mayer ‘Spirit Level’ features a Grey, White and Black color combination while hits of Neon and a speckled midsole are spotted. Set to release on July 29th, check out his Instagram page @johnmayer for additional details.
