Since the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand has released various hybrid models, from the Dub Zero to the Spizike. For 2023, the brand will introduce a new silhouette, the Jordan MVP. What makes this pair special, it includes elements from the Air Jordan 6, 7, and 8, which are the shoes that Michael Jordan wore during his first three-peat from 1991-1993. MJ and the Bulls would receive championships over the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Phoenix Suns. One of the next color options we have to preview is known as ‘Black Royal.’
Specifically, this Jordan MVP comes dressed in a Black, White, Varsity Royal, Muslin, and Iron Grey color combination. Utilizing Black nubuck across the upper, Royal Blue lands on the liner, within the TPU paint strokes (from the Air Jordan 8), part of the midsole, and Nike Air branding on the heels. The translucent tongue and midsole nod to the Jordan 6 and the overlays are taken from the Air Jordan 7. Other details include an embroidered Jumpman on the ankle and a translucent outsole.
Below, you can check out more photos of the Jordan MVP ‘Black Royal’ for a closer look. A release will take place later this year at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price is $165. Once we have more information, we will make sure to update you.
