Since the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand has released various hybrid models, from the Dub Zero to the Spizike. For 2023, the brand will introduce a new silhouette, the Jordan MVP. What makes this pair special, it includes elements from the Air Jordan 6, 7, and 8, which are the shoes that Michael Jordan wore during his first three-peat from 1991-1993. MJ and the Bulls would receive championships over the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Phoenix Suns.
This Jordan MVP comes dressed in a Black and University Blue color combination. This pair pays tribute to the Air Jordan 6 that released in 2017, which also represents MJ’s days at UNC.
Looking closer, the shoes feature Black nubuck on the upper and University Blue accents throughout. Utilizing elements from the Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 7, and Air Jordan 8. We also have TPU paint strokes on the midsole, tongues inspired by the Jordan 6, and a translucent outsole. The Jumpman is embroidered on the ankles with ‘Nike Air’ branding on the heels. Other details include a mostly Black sole and a University Blue Jumpman on the outsole.
