Russell Westbrook was spotted wearing his latest signature shoe, the Jordan ‘Why Not?’ .5 on Christmas Day. To start off the new year, Jordan Brand has officially unveiled Westbrook’s latest shoe.
Shown with the unveiling, we have the ‘Raging Grace’, ‘Childhood’, ‘Inner City’, and ‘Hype Music’ color options that are connected to Westbrook’s life on and off the court. The first pair to launch is the ‘Childhood’ iteration that will release on March 1st and celebrates his three kids and the next generation. The ‘Raging Grace’ pair launched on March 15th and the color theme represents Westbrook’s ferocious on-court play. Lastly, we have the ‘Hype Music’ pair which represents Westbrook’s tradition of listening to music pre-games and his workouts. A release will take place on April 15th.
As for the build, the ‘Why Not?’ .5 comes with a transparent upper with mid-foot bands, webbing, and an external heel counter. The pair has a large Zoom Air unit at the forefoot of the midsole and a trail-inspired outsole that finishes the look.
