Russell Westbrook and Jordan Brand unveiled his next signature shoe on Christmas day, the Jordan Why Not? .5, which was against the Brooklyn Nets.
One of the first pairs to launch is known as ‘Inner City’ and was designed in collaboration with Westbrook’s fashion label, Honor the Gift. Inspired by his Los Angeles roots and how self-belief can help anyone reach their dreams. Also, Jordan Brand removed the ‘Zer0’ from the name that was used on his first four signature shoes.
The overall look is taken from trail running shoes, specifically its rugged utility design. Utilizing a translucent material on the upper, the pair also has an external heel counter and webbing that works together to keep his foot in place. Other highlights include a large-volume Zoom Air unit at the forefoot of the midsole and a trail-inspired outsole.
Launching alongside the sneakers, Westbrook will also debut matching apparel like a t-shirt, jacket, tear-away pants, and hoodie.
