Khelcey Barrs III is a name that lives on via Russell Westbrook’s signature line. He was Westbrook’s best friend and teammate in high school. During a basketball game, he suffered a heart attack and unfortunately, he did not make it. After his passing, Russell Westbrook visited Barrs’ grandma and took it upon himself to make sure the chores were done until he went to UCLA.
With Westbrook’s latest signature shoe, the Why Not .6, he will pay tribute to his friend with a brand-new colorway. A yearly tradition now, the pair is dubbed ‘KB3’ for his initials and number.
This Jordan Why Not .6 comes dressed in a Blue Whisper, Blue Lightning, and Blue Tint color combination. Constructed with a semi-translucent grid layer, leather overlays, and mesh with perforations on the medial side. Paying tribute to Khelcey Barrs III, we have ‘KB’ on the heel tabs. Other details include a zipper shroud with repeated ‘WHY NOT’ text, exposed stitching on the medial side, and a rubber outsole.
