10-year old Bella Rodriguez-Torres, a huge Miami Heat fan, passed away Tuesday, May 28th, after a 6-year battle with cancer. As a way to honor her life and strength (the lil’ soldier pushed on for years longer than medical experts had expected), her supporters pushed for Miami Heat superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to adorn their shoes with the #LiveLikeBella slogan Bella’s father had coined during her struggle for their Tuesday night game against the Indiana Pacers. Well, those pleas did not fall on deaf ears, as the Miami Heat’s Instagram posted the below pic earlier today, confirming that both players had written the message on their shoes, something Bella surely would have loved.
Both players wrote the message in white marker, for maximum effect, against their black shoes, LeBron wearing the Nike LeBron X Elite PE “Away” while Dwyane went with his Li-Ning Way Of Wade Encore PE “All Black”.
