A couple days ago, LeBron James sent this tweet out, causing sneakerheads everywhere to freak out:
My kicks for today! Retro time people? #ZoomGeneration #TenYearAnniversay #SickKickGame http://t.co/UfpPKDX3ak
— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 10, 2013
The tweet, which linked to a pic of James wearing his first signature sneaker (the Nike Air Zoom Generation “First Game”), posed the question to his followers as to whether or not it was “retro time”. With the Nike Air Zoom Generation having first released 10 years ago – nearly the amount of time between the Air Jordan I and its first retro release – it seems like the perfect time to bring back the original LeBron James sneaker. Even though the shoe’s original release was not as popular as Nike had hoped, the shoe’s popularity has grown over the past few years, with the shoe now being looked at in a different, more positive light. If Nike were to re-release this shoe, would it be a hit, now that James has cemented his place in NBA history as one of the greatest players of all-time (with the possibility of several more years of dominance to come) and with his sneaker line being one of the most popular today? Hit the jump and let us know your thoughts, and keep it locked with Sneakerfiles.com for information on this possible re-release as news becomes available.
