EXCLUSIVE: Check Out Leo Baker’s First Signature Shoe, the Nike SB React Leo

Leo Baker, a transgender skateboarder signed to Nike Skateboarding will have his own signature shoe in 2023. Officially known as the Nike SB React Leo, the model has a similar look to one of his favorite SBs to ride in, the Nike SB Bruin High.

Leo Baker has always let determination lead their skateboarding. Defiant with purpose, Leo’s command of their narrative is as adept as their skill on a skateboard. Never shy to use their platform, Leo’s input on the Nike SB Bruin Hi was pivotal in both function and statement, as they used the shoe itself to champion Women and the LGBTQ community that they proudly represent.

We were given an exclusive look at his upcoming signature shoe in two colorways. However, we were shared a total of seven upcoming colorways that will begin release in Fall 2023 and will continue to drop new pairs during Spring 2024. Those color options include ‘White Black’, ‘Cacao Wow’, ‘Electro Orange’, ‘Midnight Navy’, ‘Black White’, ’Thunder Blue’, and Light Chocolate’.

There are two models of the shoes that will release of the Nike SB React Leo, a general pair and a premium version. The GR will have ‘Leo’ designed in a unique way on the panels, while the premium iteration comes with mesh. Depending on the release, the model will either have leather or nubuck on the overlays. ‘Leo Baker’ is written on the tongues, a special graphic lands on the insoles, and more branding appears on the license plate. Lastly, the model comes with React cushioning.

Nike SB React Leo (Leo Baker) Release Dates

You can expect the Nike SB React Leo to start releasing during Fall 2023 and we have some colorways scheduled for 2024. They will be available at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price for the GR pair is $95, while the Premium iteration will cost you $100. Once we have more information, we will make sure to update you.
