The 25th anniversary of the Asics Gel Lyte III continues with the help of Singapore’s own Limited EDT. The outcome is the Limited EDT x Asics Gel Lyte III known as Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’.
This isn’t just another sneaker collaboration, but goes deeper into the roots of Singapore. A brief history lesson, Singapore became independent from Malaysia in 1965 which in 2015 marks 50 years since. The shoes by Limited EDT reference the anniversary.
Through the uppers is flower print which is known as Miss Joaquim, an orchid that is Singapore’s national flower. Other details include purple through the branding, black around the toe cap and heel and a white midsole with speckled overlay.
Upon release, the shoes will feature a special boxset that comes with a commemorative tie, water repellent to protect your shoes from water and an extra set of floral laces.
As of now, the Limited EDT x Asics Gel Lyte III is scheduled to release on October 23rd, 2015 which is this Friday. Only available at Limited EDT website, a future and more wide release should be taking place and once we find out when, we will make sure to fill you in.
