Matthew M. Williams gives us a preview of another upcoming Nike collaboration which took place in June for Paris Fashion Week.
Founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM, we now have another viewing of his Nike collaboration via his Instagram. It comes with a molded Vibram outsole along with a strap. Utilizing a cord lacing system and zipper on the medial side. We also have dual branding on the midsole while a White trail inspired outsole completes the look.
Currently a release date for the Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR 3 SP collaboration is unknown, however once more information is available we will make sure to update. For now you can check out more images by scrolling below.
Update 6/7: Nike has unveiled the Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR 3 SP which will first release at Virgil Abloh’s NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center on June 8th. A global launch will take place on June 27th.
“This shoe embodies the multi-functionality of our modern urban existence,” says Williams. “We are proud to have collaborated with Vibram on the detachable crampon rubber sole, which allows for the shoe to be used as a minimal trainer inside of a gym or as a resilient boot on city streets or park trails.”Â
The Free TR Flyknit 3 by Matthew M. Williams is a high-cut design and is a women’s model while the mid-cut pair is available for men and features a medial zipper on the collar and is a reimagined version of the Free Train 3.
Update 5/30: After viewing official images of Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR 3 SP, we now have images of another collaboration with the designer and Nike. While similar to the Free TR 3 SP, it lacks a Swoosh on the ankle collar and adds a zipper enclosure on the medial ankle. Shown is three colorways which includes Black, Black and Red along with Light Bone. More information will be available soon.
Update 5/28: Official images of the Matthew M. Williams Nike Free TR 3 SP in Black and White has arrived. Both feature removable straps and currently a release date is unknown. Expect more information soon. Images via US11.
