For Fall/Winter 2012, Italian fashion house and fabric company, Missoni, and footwear brand Converse come together for their sixth season of excellence by unveiling the “Archive Project”.
This tasteful collection of Converse First String models, the iconic Converse Auckland Racer and Pro Leather, all feature Missoni’s all-over prints and textiles that equate to an astonishing final product. Each sneaker model showcases brilliant patterns, colors, and signature Converse branding.
In addition to the release, London-based artist, Gary Card, has been commissioned to construct a psychedelic installation at colette that accurately reflects the all-over-print motifs of the sneaker collection. Furthermore, a limited run of hand-numbered hard cover books will accompany the shoes, all of which feature the same terracotta canvas as seen on each pair from the collection.
With a release date of Friday, September 28th, the Missoni x Converse “Archive Project” will retail for 400€ (approximately $517 USD) with a size run of US 5-12, exclusively at colette.
