While most think the New Balance 550 launched in 2020, the shoe was originally released in 1989 and was known as a basketball shoe. Fast forward to 2020, NB decided to bring them back, but this time around, they were considered a lifestyle shoe. Three years now, and we have seen multiple colorways debut and collaboration, but 2023 seems to be the strongest lineup yet. Dropping in April is the ’Turtledove’ iteration in men’s sizing.
Looking closer, this New Balance 550 comes constructed with leather and mesh. Along with the signature perforations on the sides, a Cream hue covers the upper. Next, we have the ’N’ logos on the panels and the’550’ branding on the sides. Finishing this clean and Summer time look, we have a two-tone sole.
