New Balance is not really a shoe known in the basketball industry but they did shine at one point. One player that wore their shoes was James Worthy, now years later they celebrate his time with NB by dropping the 740 ‘UNC’.
James Worthy attended the University of North Carolina, this is where the UNC is attributed to. While using the UNC blue white mixes it up throughout. Worthy wore the number 52 at UNC, which you will see the number stitched by the collar. On the tongue is ‘Worthy’ while we can see ’82, the year he left college and entered the NBA draft.
