Kawhi Leonard and New Balance unveils a new colorway of his latest signature shoe, known as the Kawhi ‘Moreno Valley’ which pays tribute to his hometown.
As you can see, this New Balance Kawhi is inspired by his hometown and features the City of Moreno Valley official seal on the tongue. Kawhi personally received approval from the city to use it. Furthermore, the colors of the seal are used on the rest of the shoe. We also have Teal Blue, which represents the California sky.
Along with the shoe, Kawhi and New Balance, together with the NBA 2K Foundation will also be donating a basketball court and playground to Moreno Valley’s Weston Park. It’s a testament to Kawhi’s commitment to his roots in Moreno Valley and not letting his success overshadow the importance of making a positive impact in the community.
