GourmetKickz has hit us with another custom. This time they have created the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Kintsugi’ Custom.
Kintsugi also known as kintsukuroi is the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver. The beauty of the art is in understanding that the repaired piece is more beautiful for having been broken and repaired.
Chef uses the art of Kintsugi in his latest Custom Nike Foamposite One. Faux fragments of broken china have been reassembled onto the upper of a Knicks Foamposite One. Faux melted gold paint was used for the seaming and gold leafing adorns the eyestay, lacetips, heel, and carbon fiber panels. This piece is a wonderful bridge between fine art and wearable art.
