Yesterday Penny Hardaway was apart of the Shooting Stars Challenge and he had a couple of choices of sneakers to wear. We would think he would have on the All Star Foams or even the Air Penny 6, but he went a different route. He laced up the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Sharpie’.
Here is some NBA and sneaker history for you. In 1997 when Penny Hardaway debut the Air Foamposite One, the NBA stated the shoes did not meet the league uniform standards since they didn’t have enough black. What did Anfernee do? He grabbed a sharpie and colored in the groves on the Foamposite material.
It seems like anytime Penny Hardaway is seen wearing an “exclusive” pair, they actually release later down the road. We believe that could happen with the Sharpie Nike Foamposite One. Do you think Nike should release them?
