There’s another Air Force 1 releasing for Independence Day, the Nike Air Force 1 Preserved Icons. Inspiration came from none other than the Statue of Liberty.
One of the more unique releases in recent months from Nike, the Preserved Icons starts off with a metallic copper finish. Once heat starts to hit them, the shoe will then expose patina green. This resembles how the Statue of Liberty changed colors over the years due to age. Other details include a white midsole, starts landing on the insole and a torch from Lady Liberty on the lace jewel.
While a specific date was not given for the Statue of Liberty aka Preserved Icons Nike Air Force 1 Low, they will show up just in time for July 4th at select Nike Sportswear accounts. See a closer look below and let us know what your thoughts are.
Update: Nike Sportswear accounts will begin releasing the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Preserved Icons’ on July 3rd, 2015. Retail price will be $130. You can lock down a pair at HeistNY.
