In the mid 1980s, the Air Force 1 was king of the streets in New York City. Sneaker lovers would take the uptown subway line to the stores where they were sold. That’s when the “uptown” nickname was born.
To honor this legend, the new Air Force 1 Low Upstep features a sockliner with a metro line graphic, a debossed ‘Uptown’ on the back tab and an arrow on the shoe as a nod to subway signs.
Two color options will release, one in Red and White while the other comes in Black and White. The two feature leather across the uppers along with an oversized arrow pointing to the collar. Following we have White ‘Uptown’ embroidery on the heels and different graphic insoles. The Black and White pair features a marble outsole.
