One of the oldest basketball shoes, the Nike Air Force 1, has slowly transitioned from kicks to wear on the court to now being a pair to wear leisurely. Initially launched in 1982, the model is now 41 years old, and throughout the years, we have seen multiple colorways, prints used, and builds. Launching for Fall 2023, we have a new rendition of the model, known as the Air Force 1 Wild, and will be available exclusively in women’s sizing.
The Nike Air Force 1 Wild takes the DNA of the Air Force 1 but adds new elements to give the pair an outdoor vibe, something we would traditionally see as part of the ACG line. So far, we have a look at five upcoming colorways, which include Brown, Wheat, Green, Sail, and Black. Each pair features durable nubuck on the overlays, ballistic mesh on the base, and textile across the midsole. Other details include dual heel tabs, tongue pull tabs, and a trail-inspired rubber outsole.
