Jordan Brand is known for some of its design staples, like their famous Jumpman logo or the elephant print that they seem to have trademarked. Today, we’re getting a look at a new pair of kicks that plays on the elephant print design, in the form of Nike Air Huarache shoes. Created by Retro J’s Restoration, this next project was specifically inspired by the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement.”
The Nike Air Huarache are mostly covered in black, with red accents and a grey elephant print placed on the toe caps. These customs are simply designed, but that elephant print toe cap is dope! RJR translated the colorway of the original AJ3 “Black Cement,” transferring each design component to the Nike Air Huarache. The leather panels arrive in a matte black, along with black mesh toe boxes. Just as the AJ3, red lines the interior, and the black on grey, elephant print graphics adorn the toe caps. A white midsole completes these pair of customs from RJR.
These pair of customs are pretty cool, and has us thinking “What if an entire collection of Air Huaraches featured JB design elements?” It would be a cool concept, and if we ever see it, we’ll be sure to thank Retro J’s Restoration.
