We saw the ‘Big Bubble’ Air Max 1 ’86 return for Air Max Day 2023. What makes this shoe so special is that it’s a re-creation (sort of) of the original pair that had a short production run in 1986. This took place before the Air Max 1 launched in 1987. After a successful launch, the brand will bring more colorways to the public, and one of those will be a new one dressed in ‘Metallic Gold Grain.’
This Nike Air Max 1 comes dressed in a Smokey Mauve and Dark Team Red color combination. Utilizing White mesh on the base, Brown on the Swoosh logos and mudguard, and Tan suede overlays. Highlighting the shoes is a larger visible Air unit in the heel. The signature Nike branding adorns the tongue labels, insoles, and embroidered on the heels. Other details include a White midsole and a Brown rubber outsole.
