What everyone was calling the ‘USMC’ pack has been unveiled by Nike and they have given the Air Max 1 trio the name of ‘Patch’. While most will look for a Marine reference, it’s the ability to customize the shoes without paint or creating a pair on NikeiD.
When and if you purchase the Nike Air Max 1, they come with 22 different patches that reference cities all over the world. The USA flag is on the insole, which probably represents Nike being founded in the USA, but you can show your support by adding patches to the velcro on the tongue and heel.
The Nike Air Max 1 ‘Patch’ in black, olive and tan will first release on February 26th to NikeLab locations and online. A large release will once again happen in the U.S. on March 12th.
