The ‘Futura’ series from Nike Sportswear started in 2022 with the release of the Air Max 90. For 2023, Nike will give the Air Max 97 a futuristic makeover. Designed by Christian Tresser, the Air Max 97 Futura falls in line with the others by using the elements from the original release but adding some updates for a new look. Just like the others, this pair will have a thicker build.
This marks the second Nike Air Max 97 colorway to receive the ‘Futura’ treatment, the first is the ‘Olive’ iteration. As you can see, the shoes come with Cream hues throughout. Utilizing the signature layered build while constructed with mesh, leather, and suede. Next, we have tonal branding and Pink on the full-length Air Max unit. The signature stripes are now wavy, we also have layered mudguards, eyestay covers, and dual pull tabs. Finishing the look is a semi-translucent rubber outsole.
