Each Air Max model has a unique story of how it was created. The Air Max 97 is no different. Designed by Christian Tresser, his inspiration for the shoes is Japan’s high-speed trains. Since its original launch in 1997, we have seen various color combinations and materials used on the classic. This year, we will see a new pair debut that comes highlighted in ‘Action Grape.’
Specifically, this Nike Air Max 97 comes dressed in a White, Black, Oxygen Purple, and Action Grape color combination. Utilizing White mesh on the base and Black and Purple leather on the overlays. Next, we have embroidered mini Swooshes on the panels and tongues, with Air Max branding running down the heel pull tabs. Other details include a White midsole and a Black rubber outsole.
