Before the days of Air Force 1 and Jordan’s, sports sneakers were essentially limited to simple tennis shoes which were used for virtually every sport. Nike has taken that simple tennis shoe and recreated it with the technology of 2009 with the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 1.3. This pair features some of the best sneaker technology that Nike has to offer. Starting from the black toe box, the pair is equipped with Drag-On X for toe drag protection. Interestingly, the Courtballistec 1.3 also contains special midfoot lace protection and a midfoot shank for support. The black and volt synthetic upper provide great lateral support while the inside of this pair is equipped with a molded ortholite sockliner. Beneath, the black XDR outsole fashions a herringbone pattern for traction. To finish it off, Nike has included a volt Max Air Unit at the heel along with neon turquoise accents throughout this pair. You can pick these up at select Nike retailers.
