There is no such thing as competing when it comes to creating custom sneakers. But I must admit, the kicks I’ve seen coming from sneaker artists lately have been awesome. These artists are full of talent and new ideas that have never been done before. Speaking of never done before, today we’re getting a look at some new customs from Le Shoechainz, the man behind the LED Nike Air Foamposite “Dark Knight” shoes.
The Nike Penny V (5) “Scorpion” customs by Le Shoechainz feature the Mortal Kombat character on the uppers, which have flames and static shocks all over. The real exciting part about these shoes is that they’re heat sensitive! The portrait of Scorpion appears in full body form when the shoes are exposed to heat. Custom Mortal Kombat patches on the tongues are provided by custom artist, Herb Juice. The rest of the shoes are pretty simple, with a black outsole layered by a white midsole.
