On January 25th, 1964, Nike was founded but was known as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS). The company was founded by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight who officially changed the name to Nike, Inc. on May 30th, 1971.
Paying tribute to what once was, Nike Sportswear is releasing a VaporMax 2019 as a tribute to Blue Ribbon Sports.
