Sneakerheads have been fawning over the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove shoes, especially with recent releases of the shoes in a Royal Blue pair and a black and red colorway dedicated to the Miami Heat. The unique make-up of these shoes make them easily recognizable, and a stand out among many of the other shoes hitting the market. Now one of our favorite sneaker artists, FBCC NYC, has created a custom pair of The Gloves, along with the help of his students. They chose to go with a Freddy Kruger theme and came up with customs that are jam packed with details!
The Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove “Elm Street” customs by FBCC NYC have a red and green striped upper with brown paneling and snarling faces present on the tongues. To pay homage to the night terror, red and green micro-suede stripes take over the uppers, resembling the slasher’s infamous tattered sweater. To mimic the wear of Freddy’s sweater, burn marks were applied all over. Distressed, Italian leather arrives in brown on the toe caps, and arch around the toes into the inside of the shoes. Brown zippers coordinate perfectly with the brown found on the toe caps. Beneath the top layer, a custom painted, blood-splattered flesh dominates the upper. The lower portion of a raw-fleshed face can be found on the tongues. The original white midsole is bathed in blood, matching the red outsole perfectly. To finish off these kicks, green lacing with brown accenting zig zag their way through the center of the shoes.
These shoes embody the classic mantra “Details are everything.” We’ve yet to see such a highly detailed work of art! Hats off to FBCC NYC, and his students- Jay, Powell Kustoms, Speezy Customz, Deandre, Judy Jones, Etai Drori and Trebor!
