Even after Calvin Johnson paid homage with another colorway of the CJ81 Trainer Max and named it “Detroit,” the city where he is a star WR for his Detroit Lions, he comes through again with a “Motor City” edition. This new color scheme for the CJ81’s is black and gold which is a beloved, popular colorway that is sure to fly off the shelves. As Megatron continues pushing his “Unleash Speed” campaign with his kicks there are more and more people turning to the Trainer Max for training and casual shoes. “Motor City” has a black upper with a large, arch-strap that will keep you secure in your shoes that also covers a pair of blacks and gold laces. There is a white midsole in the front with a 3/4 length gold air max bubble towards the back and underneath the midsole is splattered metallic gold on the white outsole. A few other gold accents such as the tongue branding cap off more fantastic color coordination by Calvin and the Nike team.
