With the beginning of the year, and the Rose Bowl, right around the corner what better way to celebrate than creating a new Nike sneaker for the game. The model used for the kicks this year is the CJ81 Trainer Max which is Lions receiver Calvin Johnson’s signature sneaker and although his alma mater of Georgia Tech is not in the Bowl Game, Stanford and Michigan St. will represent proudly. Back to the shoes, the white on the upper including the brethable toebox, heel and mesh foot insert are all icy while the red panels throughout the kicks have a Rose design inspired by the game. A Rose is also stamped on the heel of the kicks while the CJ81 branding on the tongue is red on the white background. Hints of green are spotted near the top lacing eyelets while this all sits on top of a mid air max bubble and a red outsole. These are available now at Nike online for $130(US).
