Just yesterday photos of a special edition version of the Nike Coraline Dunk High that was only given to the top 15 sneaker stores worldwide was showcased. Fast forward to today and the sneaker that is drawing a tremendous of attention has been featured on G4TV’s Sneakerheads segment breaking down the Coralines characteristics and its connection with the movie. Specifically, the video notes the giant buttons on the high tops in reference to eyes of Coraline’s other parents in her alternate world. As you might already know, Nike created the Dunk Highs after Neil Gailman’s novella, Coraline which was was created by Laika studios, started by Nike founder Phil Knight.
Stars like Dakota Fanning and Teri Hatcher headline the movie that has already grossed over $19 million worldwide and has received 4 out of 5 stars from critics. Coraline is currently third on the box office charts.
