In 2022, Nike Sportswear celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Cortez, a shoe that was a stepping stool for what the brand is today. For 2023, we have seen some inline releases, as well as collaborations from the likes of Edison Chen with his Kung-Fu-inspired ‘CLOTEZ’ releases. Next up from the brand is a split White and Black iteration that features the ‘Yin and Yang’ theme.
Going over this Nike Cortez, the shoes come constructed with leather throughout with a removable zippered tongue shroud. Highlighted with White on the lateral side and toe box, while Black covers the medial side. Furthering the Yin and Yang theme, the Swooshes, heels, tongues, pull tabs, and insoles are split. Other details include a White rubber sole and a Black stripe on the midsole.
