The NikeCourt Flare will be worn by none other than Serena Williams during Wimbledon. Inspiration for the tennis model came from Kobe Bryant’s signature line and Kung Fu.
Designed by Aaron Cooper at Nike, which uses a higher cut to help Williams ankle issues when hitting the court. By looks it’s evident that the Kobe 10 comes into play, but the inspiration from Kung Fu masters in theory came from shoes being an extension of the body.
The good news is the NikeCourt Flare is now available at Nike in the white and metallic silver model that’s shown. Serena has also been spotted wearing them in recent months, and Nike decided to not only give us additional info and images but launch them. As you might expect, they are a women’s only release.
