Macey Bodily’s Nike Dunk High “Doernbecher” Releasing December 2023

We have the Nike Dunk High “Doernbecher” launching in 2023 as part of the Doernbecher Freestyle XIX Collection and designed by Macey Bodily.

Each year, Nike and Jordan Brand launch a special collection in connection with the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Children who are patients at the hospital have the opportunity to design their own shoes, which usually is inspired by their lives and the things they love. Part of the 2023 lineup will be a few classic models that have been part of past DB drops, including the Nike Dunk High.

Macey Bodily has put her creative touch on the Nike Dunk High, featuring a beautiful hand-painted floral design that seamlessly covers the entire upper. Dressed in pastel shades, consisting of Pink, Teal, and Purple, with White throughout. The midsole proudly displays a family mantra, “She believed she could so she did,” which holds deep personal meaning for Macey, reflecting her resilience and bravery. A subtle Grey ribbon motif on the upper serves as a poignant symbol of Macey’s journey as a survivor of brain cancer. Looking closer at Macey’s personal touches, the tongue graphic highlights her favorite dessert, the chocolate chip cookie. And here’s a delightful surprise – the inner tongue reveals Macey’s signature cookie recipe. Other details include a White midsole and a Light Pink rubber outsole.

Nike Dunk High Doernbecher XIX Release Date

The Nike Dunk High Doernbecher XIX and the rest of the collection will be unveiled on October 27, 2023. As for a release, the shoes will debut at select retailers and Nike.com on December 2nd, 2023.
