Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight founded ‘Blue Ribbon Sports’ on January 25th, 1964. The brand would eventually become Nike on May 30th, 2017, named after the Greek goddess of victory. The creator of the Swoosh was Carolyn Davidson. Nike Sportswear will celebrate its 52nd Anniversary by releasing a special ’52’ collection. So far, we have seen the Zoom Vomero 5 and the Dunk Low, which will release in a second colorway.
This Nike Dunk Low comes dressed in White, Grey, and Pink. Constructed with the usual leather upper and mesh tongues. White runs across the base, while Grey appears on the overlays. Next, Pink adorns the Swoosh logos, tongue labels, insoles, heel, and semi-translucent outsole. Highlighting the shoes is ’52’ branding on the insoles and heels. Other details include a Dark Grey patent Swoosh on the medial side and a White midsole.
Below, you can check out more photos of the Nike Dunk Low ’52’ for a closer look. A release will take place later this year at select retailers and Nike.com. The retail price is $110. As soon as we have more information, we will make sure to update you.
