Nike and the University of Oregon continue with their collaborations, which was initially connected by none other than Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight, who is an Oregon alumni. Throughout the years, we have seen various pairs created on and off the court or field. For 2023, we have a look at another exclusive for the school.
In 2022, Division Street, a sports venture company founded by Oregon supporters, including Phill Knight, announced the launch of ‘Ducks of a Feather,’ an online NFT (non-fungible tokens) platform that connects Oregon student-athletes to fans, boosters, and collectors. The revenue from the platform will benefit Oregon student-athletes directly. The collection, known as Flying Formations, started with 120 pairs of Air Max 1, designed by Tinker Hatfield, and given to NFT owners.
Building upon the collection, the next pair to be designed by Tinker is the ‘Oregon Ducks’ Dunk Low. Looking closer, this Nike Dunk Low features Grey across the upper while constructed with tumbled leather on the overlays and suede on the base. Next, White leather adorns the Swoosh logos, Black mesh lands on the tongue, and Volt fills in the exposed stitching and liner. Highlighting the shoes is a Multi-Color NFT logo on the tongue labels and insoles, the school’s ‘O’ on the heels, a White midsole, and a Black rubber outsole.
Below you can check out more photos of the Nike Dunk Low Oregon ‘Ducks of a Feather’ that will give you a closer look. At the time of writing, it looks like this pair will be exclusive to student-athletes, staff members, and possibly NFT holders. Once we hear more information, we will make sure to update you.
