Ahead of the upcoming US release, size? provides another look at the Nike Epic VNTG Lunar NRG as the kicks are now available at European Nike Sportswear accounts.
Hybrids are everywhere nowadays. Mixing old silhouettes with new technology is definitely the order of the day and Nike’s latest fusion model is a perfect example of this. The Epic Vintage Lunar QS features an upper from one of our favourite retro runners, 1985′s Air Epic – a silhouette that’s grown in popularity this year thanks to a constant flow of colourful releases – with a futuristic-looking Lunarlon sole unit.
At first glance it may not be to everyone’s liking but once you’ve got them on your feet your opinion soon changes. The Dynamic Support System in the Lunar sole compensates hugely for the missing heel counter normally featured on the classic Air Epic. Likewise the breathable mesh toe-box, towelled inner lining and unique heel perforations help give you that nostalgic 80s look & feel. Uniting these two legends is a bold move from Nike but one we think they’ve got spot on!
Available from tomorrow (Friday 16th November) in selected size? stores and online, the Nike Epic Vintage Lunar QS will be priced at £100.
