Fresh off an appearance in Beijing, LeBron James helped a slew of other athletes kick off the Nike+ Festival of Sports in Shanghai.
LeBron James arrived in Shanghai on Aug. 23 to help kick off the second Nike+ Festival of Sport 2012 at the Shanghai Stadium. The free, four-day festival is aimed at increasing participation in sports in China, and gives attendees an opportunity to play a variety of sports and see world-class athletes in action. Featured sports include basketball, football (soccer), running, action sports, American football, ping pong, badminton, tennis, andNIKE+ competitions.
LeBron joined Yi Jianlian, Amar’e Stoudemire, Rudy Gay and Paul George to fire up the basketball crowds. The superstars mingled with fans and attended a few events, and LeBron gave away 10 pairs of LEBRON X sneakers.
Other athletes from across the sports spectrum are also attending the festival including skateboarders Eric Koston, Omar Salazar, Stefan Janoski and Theotis Beasley. Keep watching NikeInc.com for more updates from the Festival of Sport.
