With past leaks, images typically surface from third-party accounts. We have even leaked multiple signature sneakers for different athletes. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo unveiled his shoe. This seems like a new wave for Nike Basketball, as Ja Morant leaked a handful of upcoming colorways.

So far, two colorways of the Giannis Freak 7 has leaked. One is known as “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing,” while the second is dubbed “Ignition.” The first pair is dressed in Light Khaki, Volt, Cave Stone, Alabaster, Barely Volt, while the second features Total Orange, Hyper Pink, Light Lemon Twist, and Black. Unlike current basketball sneakers, the Giannis Freak 7 has a mid-top build. Highlighted with textured patterns and groves across the panels and midsole, a unique design appears on the upper. Furthermore, a backward Swoosh appears on the panels.

As for technology, the Freak 7 is built with a full-length Cushlon 3.0 midsole, with grooves that allow natural flex for quick cuts and movements. The outsole is also unique, featuring an ANTETOKOUNMPO traction pattern. Furthermore, the pair has lockdown support that’s inspired by Greek sandals, connecting to Giannis’ roots.

The Nike Giannis Freak 7 will first be released in the “Ignition” colorway on July 29th, 2025, at select Nike Basketball retailers and online via Nike.com. The retail price is $115.
