This past weekend, Nike Sportswear’s 1948 London location saw the release of the final colorways from the third iteration of the Nike HTM Flyknit collection.
This weekend at 1948 we released the final colourways in the third HTM Flyknit collection.
Designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker, we drew the third HTM Flyknit collection to a close with the release of the black colourway on Saturday and the coveted grey/red on Sunday.
Eager fans of the black and grey/red colourway began waiting from 6pm on Friday evening for a chance to get their hands on the limited number of HTM Flyknit shoes available. With 10 overnight queuers the black colourway sold out in just a few hours. Those who were unlucky to get a pair came in to check out our in-store Nike Flyknit installation and vertical jump challenge. Sunday saw the release of the grey/red colourway, with the first person in line arriving at 6am on Saturday morning. The line quickly grew to over 50 people as opening time approached and the shoe sold out in just twenty minutes!
Rita’s Bar and Dining were also on hand to provide refreshments to everyone who passed through 1948 this weekend, offering a choice of fried chicken or fish tacos, pork buns and a refreshing hibiscus slushies.
